 Enriched Ads - Page Crossing
  • Overview of Expanding Graphics Ad

The Page Crossing ad provides users with an additional experience as they navigate to an advertiser's Web site. When users move their mouse cursors over an ad, the Page Crossing ad uses Dynamic HTML to move a graphic across the original content page. Users can then click the banner and navigate to the advertiser's Web site. The moving graphic calls more attention to the banner ad.

  • The End-user Experience

Windows users with Internet Explorer 4.0 or later experience the Page Crossing Ad as follows

    1. When the user hovers over the ad banner, a graphic appears on the left side of the browser window, halfway between the top and bottom of the page. In the figure at right, the car appears after user hovers over the ad located in the top-left corner of the screen.

    2. This graphic then moves across the screen.

    3. If users click the banner, they are immediately navigated to the advertiser's site.
